Following our foraging and observations in the park surrounding the residency, all kinds of prints, images, and research notes will emerge. We will present our current reflections, as well as ongoing experiments and impressions during an informal discussion.
Biography
Our collective nos mues communes is composed of four artist-researchers engaged in ecosensitive practices in printmaking and analog photography. Born from an initial collaboration that emerged from the working group on ecosensitive approaches in printmaking initiated by Leyla Majeri at L’Imprimerie centre d’artistes in 2023, our collective recently presented an exhibition in 2025 at IMPACT13, an international gathering devoted to contemporary printmaking practices.
Corine Dufresne-Deslières explores plant-based photographic chemistry and solargraphie, Faustine Escoffier makes papers and inks from plants, Marianne Charlebois develops screen printing inks derived from compost, and Stéphanie Nuckle works with cyanotype, printmaking, and plant-based dyes. Together, we experiment with collaborative methodologies rooted in the Living and the development of sustainable and sensitive practices.
Approach
We are developing a shared vocabulary through the exploration of ecosensitive processes in printmaking and analog photography. Our collaboration values processes that engage with the Living, to reinvent our relationship to permanence in our artistic productions. During this week-long residency, we will cultivate attention to the co-creative act through shared readings on questions of the living world and ecology, and alternating times between individual and collective practices. We will develop a shared statement of intentions and compose a collective logbook, raw material for the creation of a future fanzine.
