“Pan!” is a poetic hand-to-hand performance, exploring the complexity of relationships through a sensitive acrobatic language, where the figures punctuate the story like punctuation.

Biography

Cie Gaïus brings together two circus artists specializing in hand-to-hand: Julius Bitterling and César Mispelon.

They met in 2011 at the CRAC in Lomme, then continued their training together in Beijing and Montreal. Thirteen years of complicity and experiences around the world and on stage now allow them to develop an artistic synthesis of their relationship.

Approach

They explore their circus technique through the craft of raw bodies, vitality, spontaneity, the unknown and vulnerability, in connection with other forms of expression such as dance, physical theatre, music…

To create suspended moments, and invite the audience to immerse themselves in the present, the seat of all possibilities.

Who is Julius? Who is Caesar? Our respective first names lead us, at the very least, to imperialism. That’s what pushes us towards lightness, towards self-mockery.
