Alliance terrestre brings together artists whose practices pay particular attention to the relationships we maintain with the world we inhabit. Through installations, digital works, and interdisciplinary practices, the exhibition gathers proposals that question our ways of perceiving, creating, cohabiting, and making meaning together.

Biography

Mélanie O’Bomsawin: Through video, installations, and projections, Mélanie O’Bomsawin explores the connections between generations and issues of memory, language, and identity.

Angela March: Based in Quebec City, unceded territory of Nionwentsïo, Angela E. Marsh creates projects that result from a search for intimate reciprocity and learning from the living.

Audrée Wilhelmy: Writer and visual artist, she creates narrative forms where material, ritual, and language intertwine, through novels and talismans crafted from natural fragments and precise gestures.

Approach

The works presented open spaces for experience, contemplation, and dialogue where different ways of relating to the beings, places, materials, and forces that compose our reality intersect. The exhibition also incorporates creations made during the festival’s community workshops, creating a dialogue between the perspectives of invited artists and those of citizens participating in this collective reflection. An invitation to broaden our perspective and imagine new forms of alliance.
