Sarah A. Tremblay and Marie-Renée Bourget Harvey

Sara A. Tremblay (born in Les Éboulements, 1983) has lived in Orford since 2018. Her transition to the countryside has greatly inspired her and proved decisive for the rest of her career. She holds a Master of Fine Arts from Concordia University and teaches photography at the Université de Sherbrooke. Her works have been exhibited at, among others, the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec (2023), the Colby-Curtis Museum (2023), Galerie B-312 (2023), the Musée des beaux-arts de Sherbrooke (2019), the Centre d’artistes Vaste et Vague (2017), the Maison des arts de Laval (2017), the Guido Molinari Foundation (2015), and YYZ Artists’ Outlet (2014). In the spring of 2020, in response to the lockdown, she founded Les Encans de la quarantaine, a virtual auction group dedicated to selling the work of independent, emerging, or unrepresented artists. Since the spring of 2024, she has been involved in defending visual artists during major arts demonstrations within the volunteer artist group of the Grande mobilisation pour les arts au Québec.

Sara A. Tremblay’s works have been exhibited at, among others, the Colby-Curtis Museum (2023), Galerie B-312 (2023), the Maison des arts de Laval (2017), the Guido Molinari Foundation (2015), and YYZ Artists’ Outlet (2014). She was a winner of the Prix en art actuel from the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec, where her work was exhibited in the fall of 2023. Since the spring of 2024, she has been involved in defending the cultural sector within the volunteer artist group of the Grande mobilisation pour les arts au Québec (GMAQ). Holding a Master of Fine Arts from Concordia University (2014), she has lived and worked in Orford since 2018.
