Actor, creator, poet, writer, and musician, Jean-François Casabonne has pursued a career for some forty years on the various stages of Quebec and elsewhere in the world. As an actor, his singular interpretations in theater as on screen have demonstrated that he is a man of vision for whom the ethics of the craft is a vital value. The richness and diversity of his approach illustrates the merits of those who are concerned with giving meaning to Life.
Approach
A man with tangled roots embarks on a quest for his identity when, on the land he has just purchased, his shovel strikes a stone impossible to extract from the soil. Between a ghostly Basque father, a witch mother, a brother emerged from limbo, a daughter who is and is not his own, and a woman who after all may not be his either, the protagonist recounts his life.
