Espace DesPrés’ parking lot transforms into a dance floor with a collective choreography imagined by Maude Lecours. Set to live music, this festive line dance, accessible to everyone, offers a celebration of living together in Sutton. Inspired by the land and the community, dance here becomes a simple yet powerful gesture: that of coming together, in movement, to share space and joy.

Biography
Maude Lecours is a multidisciplinary artist focused on dance. She founded the dance video production company Flamant in 2014, initiated the ‘Faire danser un village’ (Making a Village Dance) project in 2018, has been teaching dance in the Brome-Missisquoi region since 2016, and choreographs ambulatory and immersive works in atypical locations. She uses visual art, dance, and exchange with members of her community in each of her creations.
Approach
Maude uses dance and video as mediums in her artistic projects to bring people together around creations that foster connection, strengthen the social fabric, and amplify the joy of being together. By engaging with the community in each of her creations, she aspires to make art accessible, encourage openness to others, and unite people around collective projects that do good.
